Ceramic coffee table by French artist Roger Capron from the 1960s.

The top is composed of a mosaic of floral motifs in ceramic stoneware. 

These tiles, made in Vallauris, are in engraved decoration, a technique which consists in incising the piece, still wet, with a blade or a roughing-out tool. 

In the 1960s, Roger Capron designed several coffee tables of similar shapes (rounded rectangular top with a mosaic of ceramics and cylindrical legs in solid wood). 

One of the best known models is the "Sou-Chong" table.
